Hey, Chiomi, remember this picture I did of you? Let’s look at this some more instead of that horrible drawing with me in it.

I HAVE THE BEST MOIRAIL EVER

She is possibly getting me a signed copy of The God Eaters by Jesse Hajicek for my birthday, and Luka might draw something in it, and OH MY GOD I’M FREAKING OUT. YOU HAVE NO IDEA.

ALL THE PALE FEELS. ALL OF THEM. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Anyway, your point is, you are the palest of the pale. You type in mutant red to distract attention from his colorless text. You wear your sign in black or white so he can get away with gray. Long before your eyes turned, you started wearing shades so he would look like he was copying you when he covered the red blooming in his irises. Every day when you go to sleep, you know tomorrow might be the night he bursts into your hive with culling drones on his tail, and you ask yourself if you’ll fight to the death so he can live a few more minutes.

The answer is always yes.

Hell fucking yes.

Bottom line, whatever it takes to protect him, you’re going to do it. You just… don’t know what that is right now. Obviously some brainstorming needs to happen here. It’s time to get merciless about this.

You put on some thinking music. Something to shake up your thinksponge, maybe squeeze out a few drops of genius.

"my subwoofer just inhaled a crow"

so beautiful.

So, I just finished reading this. If you haven’t heard of it, you might be the only one. It’s possibly the most beautiful and heartbreaking thing that’s happened in this fandom (thus far). It has made countless cry.

It’s… well… a novel. So I feel like I should be writing a review of it, but I’m pretty sure I couldn’t sort through my own thoughts and feelings enough to manage it right now. I probably won’t be able to read anything else for the rest of the night, though. With a normal book, I’d probably end up looking for fanfiction of it tomorrow.

One thing that struck me the hardest: While I might argue that it isn’t The Perfect Example, this story has what is probably the best portrayal of a moirallegiance that I’ve read… The whole thing breaks my heart, I think.

(semi-related side note: I <> you, Chiomi. Always.)
